Communicative Motivation Development while Teaching a Foreign Language in Professional Activity

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of motivation in foreign language classes at a non-major university. The aim of the work is to identify effective ways of developing communicative motivation in the process of forming universal competences. The study is based on the idea of the need for a communicative approach to the organization of teaching a foreign language in professional activities. The basic concepts of the research are presented and analyzed. The directions of the content of training in the creation of the educational-methodical complex of the discipline «Foreign language in professional activity» in the system of training masters have been determined. The results of the study showed that in order to develop and maintain long-term communicative motivation during the entire process of learning a foreign language, personal interest and activity of students during contact and independent work are necessary. The relevance of topics and proposed materials and appropriate forms of educational interaction contribute a lot to it.
