The Educational Potential of Functional Literacy in the Parameters of Conceptuality and Regional Practice

Abstract

The article reveals the system of conceptual approaches, substantiates the concept of «educational potential of functional literacy «as a dynamic set of concepts (socio-cultural, personal, content — activity, methodological) and a necessary resource and means of preparing a graduate for life in the conditions of the region».
The target characteristics facing the school in the conditions of transition to the information society are shown. The main content lines of functional literacy formation in the regional educational community of KhMAO-YUGRA are given. In the article the authors revealed the psychological and pedagogical understanding of functional literacy as an individual and personal characteristic of a graduate of an educational institution; its functional and didactic significance, design features, methodological techniques that affect the specifics and quality of educational activities.
