Abstract
This article is devoted to the organization of the educational process in a distance format. The relevance and novelty of the article touches the methodological developments used by the authors in foreign language classes at non-linguistic universities. The study examines the model of «flipped classes» (when) working with students in practical classes, organizing individual work and conducting control. The purpose of the article is to generalize and analyze the practical application of the «flipped classes» method in the author’s team work.
The authors describe the stages of the formation of «flipped classes» from a historical perspective; the reasons for accentuating the use of this technique in conditions limiting social contacts during the spread of the pandemic. The authors summarize the experience of their practical work. They conclude that it is advisable to replace traditional teaching with the «flipped» one only in the case when classroom classes are limited because of a number of reasons.
