From Revolutionary Romanticism to Demoralization: the Mood of Saratov Students in a Critical Era (1914–1917)

Abstract
The article examines the political views and moods of Saratov students during the First World War and the February events of 1917. The author assigns an important role to the student masses in the socio-political life of the city. Within the framework of social history the author analyzes the change of patriotic increase, anti-government actions, and later the growth of apolitical sentiments among the students of Saratov.
