Comparative Analysis of Professional and Creative Self-Development of Students of Pedagogical and Philological Fields

Abstract
The article presents a comparative analysis of the components of professional and creative self-development (PCSD) among students of pedagogical and philological training programs. The study aims to identify differences in the manifestation of key PCSD characteristics depending on the educational trajectory. The objectives included conceptual clarification of PCSD, selection and validation of diagnostic tools, as well as comparative and correlation analysis of empirical data.
The methodological framework is based on activity- based, personality-oriented, and subject-centered approaches. Quantitative methods were employed, including questionnaires, testing, and statistical analysis using Welch’s t-test and Pearson correlation analysis.
The results indicate that students in pedagogical programs demonstrate higher levels of creative potential, pedagogical orientation, and technological readiness compared to philology students. At the same time, no statistically significant differences were found in the level of professional self-development or clarity of self-concept. A positive correlation was revealed between creativity, technological competence, and the expression of professional roles among future teachers.
