Based on the analysis of the results of a sociological study among employees of a social institution, a description of the professional- adaptive state of respondents is given; the main factors that have both a negative and a positive impact on the success of adaptation in a particular institution have been identified; problems that require special attention from management are highlighted. Based on the results obtained, recommendations can be developed for the prevention of professional maladaptation of employees working in social sector institutions.
